I’ve just completed Learn SQL training by Codecademy.com. The training is absolutely free and can be done in a very short time. For me it was 4 days in a row, ca. 1 hour per day. The course covers absolute basics of SQL with fundamental commands to manipulate tables, constraints, aliases, conditions and comparisons, as well as aggregate functions and ways to join tables. For me, it is far better for a start than SQL Tutorial by W3Schools.com, because it guides the learner through exercises and solutions, step by step. Nevertheless, it is not exhaustive enough and definitely requires further learning. Codecademy.com also has its Pro account and maybe I’ll decide to subscribe in the near future, but now I would rather go back to the SQL Tutorial and give it a second chance.
